Meeting
of the Swiss Group of Rheology

May 5, 1999
Lausanne, Switzerland

"Rheology and Interfaces"

Scope of the meeting:

The relations between macrostructure and rheology of multiphase fluids is of great importance in many different applications ranging from food processing to polymer blends compounding.

The scope of the meeting is to bring together people from both academic and industrial backgrounds to discuss the scientific and technologic aspects of flow in multiphase systems.

Scientific program:

The program will consist of two plenary lectures given by prominent scientists in the field of polymer research and four additional invited presentations.

The two plenary lectures will be given by
Dr. Leszek A. Utracki (Canada)
who will present an overview on flow and mixing in polymer blends while
EProf. Masao Doi (Japan)
will put more focus on modeling aspects of flow understanding.

Four invited presentations will also be given by industrial and academic researchers on related topics.

An open poster session will be proposed for people attending the meeting. All those intending to participate are encouraged to submit an abstract for this poster presentation.
